Engineering专业的基础课程一般包括：Biology, Physics, Chemistry等带有lab实验课的science学科课程；以及数学类课程，例如calculus, statistics, algebra。大一期间可以考虑先修基础课程，在大三大四再学习专业方向更明确的课程。另外，所有专业的学生在大一时都建议修基础英语写作课English Composition 101 & 102, 以及基础数学课Calculus I & II。
