和国内院校不同，美国的大学一般很少有专门自动化的学系和专业。大部分和自动化相关的专业，一般分布在以下几个学系和专业里面。
Mechanical Engineering (ME)
Electronic Engineering (一般大家俗称的EE)
Robotics
Industrial Engineering
少数学校有专门的自动化
东部的话，排名靠前的里面。Columbia和CMU都不错。中国学生相对比较容易进。名气大，就业好。
