您好，一般在美国，未成年在校外居住或者租赁房屋，都需要有监护人进行担保和陪同。一般美本的第一年，很多学校也会要求学生住校，以帮助学生更好的融入校园生活。孩子若未满18周岁，可以考虑住校，安全更有保障。若学校没有宿舍，也可以考虑寄宿家庭。
